An exciting opportunity has arisen for amercial Sales Controller to play a key role in supportingmercial performance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This position is responsible for overseeing sales administration, business planning and forecasting, RFQ management, claims handling, and project profitability, ensuring accurate financial andmercial control across the business.
Your new role
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide regular reporting on:Claims statusSales administration performanceRFQ pipeline and status
2. Act as a key interface between site operations and centralmercial teams
3. Lead and participate inmercial review meetings, identifying risks and opportunities
Sales Administration & Pricing
4. Ensure accurate and effective sales administration processes
5. Maintain and manage pricing data within ERP systems
6. Track and manage customer pricing, rebates, andpensation mechanisms
7. Maintain clear visibility of current and future sales prices
Business Planning & Forecasting
8. Support and coordinate forecasting and budgeting activities
9. Work closely with finance and operational teams to ensure robust and accurate forecasts
10. Monitor performance against plan and highlight key variances
New Business & RFQ Management
11. Support development of new business cases and quotations
12. Ensure alignment of cost assumptions with current operational performance
13. Translate business cases into detailed customer cost breakdowns
Claims Management
14. Lead the identification, development, and escalation ofmercial claims
15. Track and report on claim progress and resolution
Project Profitability
16. Monitor project profitability against business case expectations
17. Identify deviations and drive corrective actions
Stakeholder Collaboration
18. Work closely with:Finance and controlling teamsPurchasing and supply chain
19. Ensure alignment on pricing movements and cost changes

Essential

25. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable
26. Experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment
27. Knowledge of ERP systems ( SAP)
28. Understanding of costing, pricing, and contribution analysis
29. Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) – or working towards
