The Opportunity
A well-established groundworks and infrastructure contractor based in Tewkesbury is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
The business delivers a broad range of residential, commercial and infrastructure packages, including bulk earthworks, drainage, foundations, roads and external works. With a strong pipeline of secured projects, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS to take ownership of schemes and play a key role in driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
Full commercial responsibility for groundworks and infrastructure packages.
Preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
Cost value reconciliation (CVR) and monthly reporting.
Manage subcontractor accounts, variations and payments.
Procurement & Subcontract Management
Procurement of subcontract packages and materials.
Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
Negotiate terms and manage contractual obligations.
Monitor subcontractor performance and commercial risk.
Cost Control & Reporting
Monitor project budgets and forecasts.
Identify and manage variations and change events.
Ensure accurate cost tracking across labour, plant and materials.
Provide regular financial updates to senior management.
Client & Site Liaison
Work closely with Site Managers and Contracts Managers.
Attend client meetings where required.
Support dispute resolution and commercial negotiations.
