This will be achieved by collaborating with the young person to develop clear learning aims and objectives. We have a new and exciting opportunity for one new advanced teaching support assistants to make a significant contribution to our Special Education Needs learning provision for our existing post 16 learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan attending the Personalised Learning Pathways Hub, in Selby. Personalised Learning Pathway enable young people to access local learning opportunities which will lead to community participation, and wherever possible independent living and/or employment/ or preparation for adulthood. This will be achieved by collaborating with the young person to develop clear learning aims and objectives, which will empower individuals with the skills, confidence and challenge to be successful in adult life. Personalised Learning Pathways is a person-centred programme which supports the young person to develop, and progress based on a clear understanding of their personal needs and aspirations. You will work under the direction of the class teacher, to help plan and deliver learning opportunities designed around the individual and focusing on three pathways: personal progress, independence and employment. You will support a young people to achieve their Individual Learning targets; sometimes providing personal care as required. The posts (term time only, 37 weeks per year) are 34.5 hours per week working Monday to Fridays, 08:30-16:00 (30 minutes for lunch) based at the PLP Hub in Selby.
