As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Demand Planner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.
About the Role:
To deliver accurate demand forecasts and effective replenishment by managing forecasting outputs, maintaining system accuracy, and providing actionable insights to support stock availability and promotional activity.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the forecasting demand of products ensuring that the right amount of stock is available when needed.
2. Design and build dashboards within RELEX to provide clear, actionable insights.
3. Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, providing meaningful recommendations.
4. Review and analyse demand, ensuring forecasts reflect expected demand patterns, including promotional events.
5. Be the super user of the AI Forecasting & Replenishment system, amending, testing and going live with changes which impact AI model outputs.
6. Identify SKUs where actual sales significantly deviate from forecast, reviewing anomalies to ensure model accuracy and identifying root cause.
7. Handle and review ordering exceptions
8. Create and maintain suitable ordering schedules to support availability and replenishment efficiency.
9. Review promotional allocations at store level to ensure system accuracy, liaising with stock controllers to ensure promotional data is captured correctly.
10. Liaise closely with Buying teams on product assortment, forecast exceptions, and activity that may impact ordering volumes.
Person Specification:
11. Experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within a retail or FMCG environment.
12. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends and anomalies.
13. Experience working with forecasting or replenishment systems is desirable.
14. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI or analytics tools.
15. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
16. Strong commercial awareness combined with confident communication.
