The Successful Applicant
For someone to succeed in this role, they will have extensive global procurement experience in both direct and indirect categories. Additionally, they will certainly have proven multi-regional leadership experience in a complex, regulated, manufacturing or technology environment.Given the level of responsibility, the person's negotiation, relationship management and commercial acumen will be unquestionably strong. As will their understanding of risk, trade compliance and sustainability in procurement.Those are the 'essentials'. Beyond that, experience in a business that assembles complex, large machinery is an advantage. Given the reach of this business and the location of the vendor community, genuine global experience is needed and there will be the requirement to travel approximately 50% of the time.
