People & Culture Manager Location: Near Aldermaston Hours: Part-Time

- 24-30 hours per week (flexible structure) Salary: £40,000
- £45,000 pro rata Purpose of the Role To lead and develop People & Culture activities, ensuring: Consistency and fairness across the organisation Compliance with UK employment legislation Efficient, digitised HR systems Strong manager capability in people management A proactive, culture-led approach to employee engagement Key Responsibilities People Strategy & Culture Implement the organisations People Strategy.
Embed values and culture across all business areas.
Lead change management initiatives.
Provide timely reporting and insights to senior leadership.
Drive engagement and retention initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding Manage recruitment processes across the organisation.
Support workforce planning and talent pipeline development.
Oversee onboarding, contracts and compliance documentation.
Employee Relations & Compliance Support with ER cases and issues Lead complex cases with appropriate support.
Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice.
Maintain and proactively review HR policies and procedures.
Conduct exit interviews and monitor retention trends.
HR Operations & Systems Maintain accurate employee records and payroll changes.
Review payroll for accuracy.
Monitor sickness absence and performance data.
Lead digitisation and continuous improvement of HR systems.
Ensure GDPR compliance across people processes.
Engagement & Communication Lead internal staff communications.
Organise employee events and engagement initiatives.
Champion wellbeing and employee support programmes.
Experience & Qualifications Minimum 5 years experience within an HR / People function.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law.
Experience managing disciplinary and grievance processes.
CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
Experience in hospitality, estates, multi-site or SME environments advantageous.
