Role Type: PermanentSalary - £55,649.36 per annumBased - Stoke Bakery, Mr Kipling manufacturer, ST4 6PHShift Pattern: 4 x 4 shift working (12 hours), 2 days and 2 nights on rotation (42 hour week), with some flexibility required as there could be overtime needed.Location: Stoke-on-Trent, ST4 6PHOur Mr Kipling bakery in Stoke on Trent has an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their team. The site produces the nations favourite Mr Kipling Cakes such as Cherry Bakewell's and Angel Slices. You will be part of a team of six, reporting directly to an Engineering Manager on each shift.Are you interested in.Proactive maintenance and inspection work AND proactive continuous improvementExposure to a rich variety of engineering equipment and processesAutomation experience; exposure to cutting-edge equipment and machineryA collaborative relationship between engineers and operationsCareer progression routes - into supervisor and management or cross-functionallyJoining a multi-site business that places high emphasis on employee supportWhat you'll be doing:Advise and assist the design, installation and commissioning of projects and small initiativesEnsure that plant and equipment systems perform to manufacture product efficiently to high quality standardsAssist with training and support of non-electrically biased engineers and electrical engineers wishing to improve their knowledge of automated machinerySupport the engineering and manufacturing functions ensuring maximum utilisation of engineering equipment to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency within the company safety, quality & environmental policiesContribute to and help implement continuous improvement, to enhance quality, safety, efficiency and waste reductionHelping to transform the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy to a Right First Time, proactive philosophyWhat we need from you:Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering for example - Level 3 Electrical/electronic engineering or similarPrevious experience of automated manufacturing environments.
