FINANCIAL CONTROLLER / MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

THE ROLE
We're searching for an ambitious Financial Professional with a combination of skills to join our finance function and grow with us. You'll work closely with the founding team and channel leads, learning to scale sustainably, manage cash with discipline, and support data-driven decisions.
This is not just about compliance and bookkeeping; it's about developing cutting-edge e-commerce finance skills, building processes for international expansion, creating insight, and helping us achieve our mission of keeping millions of people active.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Learning & Development
* Support production of board-ready financial packs (P&L, cash flow, KPIs) for monthly and quarterly reviews.
* Work with channel leads to analyse performance across Amazon UK/EU, D2C, Pro, and International markets.
* Learn to interpret core business metrics and customer behaviour patterns across global markets.
* Assist with scenario planning, annual budgets, and international market entry analysis.
* Support preparation of financial models for future investment rounds and strategic initiatives.
Financial Operations & Control
* Support maintenance of rolling cash flow forecasts during rapid growth periods.
* Oversee reconciliations across Amazon, Shopify, eBay, TikTok, PayPal, and banking platforms.
* Handle payroll, pensions, VAT, and international compliance with guidance.
* Process invoices, journals, accruals, and reconciliations with accuracy.
* Support inventory management: landed costs, stock accruals, BOMs, and margin analysis.
Systems & Process Development
* Help develop KPI dashboards for real-time performance tracking.
* Support process improvements and implementation of controls appropriate for a scaling business.
* Assist with evaluation and rollout of financial systems upgrades.
Core Operational Responsibilities
Building on our solid financial operations foundation
Daily Financial Operations
* Process purchase invoices and manage accruals across multiple platforms
* Maintain daily sales reporting across all channels
* Execute payment runs and manage cash flow
* Handle payroll administration and pension management
* Manage tax compliance including VAT returns
* Process prepayments and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
Multi-Platform Sales & Reconciliation
* Download and process e-commerce platform fees, marketing, and purchase data
* Post sales across multiple fulfilment methods in inventory management systems
* Reconcile marketplace reports and invoices (Amazon, eBay, TikTok, Shopify)
* Manage multi-currency payment platform imports and processing
* Handle credit card and banking transaction processing
* Review and resolve order fulfilment issues
Inventory & Cost Management
* Process stock and landed cost invoices
* Assist with bill of materials and costing issues
* Manage stock accruals and goods received processes
* Categorise costs and sales for accurate reporting
* Support margin analysis across product lines
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified or qualified, or strong relevant experience in finance roles.
* 1-3 years' experience in high-growth businesses, ideally with e-commerce or multi-channel retail exposure.
* Good financial analysis and Excel/Sheets skills with eagerness to develop advanced modelling abilities.
* Clear communicator, able to present financial information in an understandable way.
* Detail-focused with growing strategic awareness; comfortable with hands-on work.
* Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero experience preferred but training provided).
* Based in or willing to commute to Bedwas, Caerphilly area.
