Shop Supervisor
As a Shop Supervisor, you will use your retail skills and experience to drive business, increase sales, and achieve targets.
You will help lead a team to deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers, work with the local community to generate donated stock, and recruit, train, and retain volunteers. Your role includes setting high standards for merchandising and housekeeping, ensuring health and safety, and managing stock processes to keep the shop well merchandised with fresh, seasonal stock.
You will act as a brand ambassador for Sue Ryder, supporting in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives. Managing stock through the Epos system is also part of your responsibilities.
Ideal candidates will have retail experience, commercial awareness, a positive attitude, good judgment, proven team leadership skills, and the ability to engage with people. A good understanding of financial and IT administration is essential.
Sue Ryder is a leading UK charity retailer with over 400 shops, funding vital support services for those approaching end of life or living with grief. Our shops include boutiques, vintage, retro, and large format stores, all contributing to our mission to provide care and support through innovative and community-focused retailing.
We value our employees and strive to make them feel valued and included. Our retail roles often work weekends, with most managers working only every other weekend, and shops closing early at 5:15 pm. The earliest shift starts at 8:45 am. We are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.
