We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team and support teaching and learning across the school. About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for delivering pre-set lessons during the short-term absence of the class teacher. You will help maintain a positive and productive learning environment by supervising students, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting pupils in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task. Support pupils in completing set work and clarify instructions where needed. Promote a positive learning atmosphere and manage student behaviour in line with school policies. Provide feedback to students regarding progress and achievement. Report back to teaching staff on student behaviour, progress, and any concerns. Support students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and foster inclusion in the classroom. Assist in maintaining accurate attendance and behaviour records. What We’re Looking For: Strong classroom presence and the ability to act as a positive role model. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage behaviour confidently and effectively. Flexibility and a proactive attitude. Previous experience working with young people or in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
