Job Title : Pharmacy Technician Dispensary Banding: Band 5 Location : London Start: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Rate : £ 2 0 - £ 25 per hour Working hours: Full time, Monday- Friday, 0 8:30-16:30, 09:00-17:00 or 10:00-18:00 We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Haematology Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to join our clients team in London. This role is pivotal in providing specialised pharmaceutical care to patients undergoing haematology and oncology treatments. The successful candidate will ensure the safe and effective use of medications, particularly in the administration of systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT), and contribute to the overall quality of patient care. What will your responsibilities be : As a Haematology Oncology Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for a range of duties aimed at optimising patient outcomes. Your responsibilities will include verifying and releasing oral and intravenous SACT, ensuring accuracy and compliance with treatment protocols. You will provide comprehensive patient counselling on SACT and supportive medications, addressing any concerns and promoting adherence to treatment plans. Additionally, you will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement pharmaceutical care plans, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to the education and training of healthcare staff. Qualifications and Experiences: Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) Good clinical knowledge in haematology-oncology speciality Experience in verifying and releasing oral and IV SACT (chemo) Proficient in patient counselling about SACT and supportive medications Strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Attention to detail and strong organisational skills Commitment to continuous professional development and learning Why work with Pulse?
