The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Computing Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to 16–19 learners within a Further Education setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress, and supporting students to achieve positive outcomes and progression. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging Computing lessons aligned to awarding body specifications Teach across Levels 1–3 (depending on experience) Plan lessons, schemes of work, and assessments Monitor learner progress, attendance, and achievement Provide academic support, feedback, and pastoral guidance Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement activities Ensure safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standards are upheldSubjects May Include Computer Systems Programming (e.g. Python, Java, C#, or similar) Software Development Cyber Security Networking Data and Digital Technologies IT Fundamentals / Digital SkillsEssential Requirements Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one Subject qualification in Computing, Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline Experience teaching or training young people or adults Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Ability to motivate and engage 16–19 learners Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Desirable Experience teaching BTEC, T Level, OCR, or similar qualifications Industry experience within IT or Computing Experience with blended or digital learning platforms Knowledge of current developments in Computing and digital technologiesWhat’s on Offer Supportive FE environment with development opportunities Access to CPD and teacher training pathways Competitive salary and benefits Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young people’s futures eXede Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency and the successful applicant will be employed directly by our client.
