We're The Pizza Place in Manningtree and we're looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and talented sous chef/ Pizzaiolo to join our small team.
Job Overview
As Sous Chef you work directly with the Head Chef delivering a high quality fresh pizza whilst developing the offering and events for customers. Using authentic ingredients to create a great product, you will be responsible for menu creation, for team development and taking the business further.
Your input and suggestions will be welcomed as we work together to keep The Pizza Place as the busiest Pizzeria in Manningtree and look to expand to new towns.

Duties
* Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
* Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring dishes are innovative and aligned with seasonal offerings.
* Oversee food production processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes while ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
* Assist in managing kitchen operations during peak service times, ensuring smooth workflow.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking.
* Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Previous experience in food production within a fast-paced kitchen setting is essential.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen operations.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
