Transport Senior Administrator – The City of Edinburgh Council
Location: Waverley Court
Salary: £29,173 - £33,287
Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks

Responsibilities
 * Support the Network Management & Enforcement team, Engineers and Project Managers including the team manager with project delivery.
 * Provide a reliable support service through multiple formats (telephone, face to face, MS Teams, email).
 * Develop customer relationships (internal and external) to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
 * Deliver support to colleagues, third parties and service users within the operating principles for Transport.
 * Work within a team of Transport staff dealing with legislation, project delivery and attention to detail; progress requests to wider council services to source additional information.
 * Handle sensitive and personal information in line with appropriate policies.
 * Use appropriate systems to process service requests or updates for wider council services.
 * Promote an integrated and consistent Council-wide approach to Transport services, supported by governance, processes and legislation.
 * Work with Transport staff and stakeholders to support new initiatives and the strategic direction of the Council, ensuring Transport services are planned in a consistent manner with the Council\'s objectives.
 * Identify and evaluate risks associated with customer contact services and mitigate where appropriate.
 * Support the Transport Officer with day-to-day tasks; make a range of decisions relating to Transport services and resolve issues relating to service provision and legislative outcomes.
 * Ensure relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures are applied appropriately; collate and record relevant details and provide clear responses meeting service needs.
 * Maintain data accuracy across systems and ensure work is up to date and prioritised.
 * Share responsibility for multiple systems and data and ensure data, records and systems are kept up to date.
Compliance and Registration
 * This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
 * Overseas Criminal Record Check may be required if continuous time spent outside the UK in the last 5 years exceeds 3 months; provide this check if applicable.
 * Unconditional offer of employment and commencement subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks.
