You’ll have the opportunity to work with the latest wireframing and ideation tools and technologies, in a highly collaborative environment, to drive creative problem solving. You’ll improve our UX/UI and design pipelines and techniques while integrating new tools and design methodologies as we develop our games. You’ll be responsible for delivering expertly designed features and experiences for our clients and players. You are encouraged to be as good as you can be and there are systems in place within the studio to support you to do just that. Incremental improvement is our aim and all team members are involved in how that evolves. Experience Essential 4 years of experience working as a UX/UI Designer for Games. Experience in UX with a demonstrable portfolio of wireframes, user flows or similar. Proven experience of creating UI Designs/Assets via a Demo Reel and/or portfolio. Experience with industry standard Game Engines [Unity]. Expert experience with industry-standard 2D wireframing tools. [Figma, or Adobe XD] Expert experience with industry-standard 2D visualisation tools. [Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop]. Experience managing, planning and estimating tasks in a project planning suite. Experience of working to a client brief and delivering on business goals and end-user needs. Desirable Experience working on mobile/casual titles. Traditional pipeline of learning through a University environment. Experience collaborating with external development teams. Passionate about championing accessibility and inclusive design. Skills and Abilities The desire and ability to champion user experience above all else, in a positive way, even when it is challenged. Strong communication skills, including the ability to manage stakeholder and partner relationships and communicate effectively with team members at all levels. A proactive, collaborative approach with high levels of passion and creativity when it comes to problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ensuring UI design and UI assets are created to the highest quality. Expert planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines. A creative and logical approach to problem-solving with an end-user focus. Meticulous attention to detail in planning, execution and delivery. A clear, concise and accurate communicator in all formats. Strong layout and iconography skills Good sense of colour, value and contrast. Adapts well to new processes and pipelines and helps to further improve existing ones. Duties and Tasks Liaising and collaborating with clients to determine stakeholder goals and effectively deliver on them. Presenting UX solutions to internal and external stakeholders. Developing personas and usage scenarios. Creating wireframes, storyboards, and screen flows. Creating product prototypes via Figma. Using 2D production tools to create UI and UX layouts and assets to meet project requirements. Integrate UI assets into Unity to produce functional layouts. Building assets to game engine specifications and pipelines for Unity. Building content within the requirements of the target platform. Attending standups and team meetings for communication of project goals. Organising and executing the burn down of the UX tasks, using Jira and working with the UX/UI Designer Manager and Studio Producer to meet project deadlines.
