Overview
Jackson Hogg is recruiting for a pioneering new business in the circular economy sector for the appointment of a Senior Process Engineer to join their team due to growth. This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge recycling facility from the ground up, and the ideal candidate will be responsible for influencing design, supporting commissioning, and driving operational excellence once live.
Responsibilities
* Build & Commissioning Phase: shape plant layout, process flows, and equipment selection. Develop and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and specifications. Lead commissioning activities, HAZOP reviews, and performance trials.
* Operational Phase: Optimise processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement. Lead projects that improve yield, efficiency, and quality while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
* A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or related).
* Professional membership (IChemE or equivalent).
* Strong background/previous in process engineering, ideally within plastics, polymers, or recycling.
* Hands-on experience of plant commissioning/start-up.
* Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).
* Excellent technical problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills.
