The Technical / Continuous Improvement (CI) Coordinator provides administrative and coordination support to continuous improvement activities across the manufacturing site. The role supports Area Leaders, CI leads, and operational teams by maintaining CI systems, tracking actions, supporting data collection, and helping sustain standards such as 6S and standard work. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop experience in manufacturing operations, technical support, and continuous improvement.
Safety
* Support the administration and upkeep of 6S standards, audits, and documentation across manufacturing areas.
* Maintain records of safety observations, actions, and improvement activities.
* Assist with incident investigation documentation and corrective action tracking.
* Provide administrative support for CI initiatives, kaizen activities, and improvement projects.
* Maintain CI trackers, action logs, and improvement registers, ensuring updates are accurate and timely.
* Support the preparation of CI meeting materials, presentations, and reports.
* Assist in capturing and documenting standard work, process improvements, and best practices.
Technical & Process Support
* Support process improvement activities by collecting data, updating documents, and coordinating trials.
* Assist with controlled updates to procedures, work instructions, and visual management materials.
* Help ensure technical and CI documentation is current, accurate, and accessible.
Data & Reporting
* Collect and compile operational and CI-related data for review by Area Leaders and CI leads.
* Support the maintenance of KPIs, performance boards, and CI dashboards.
* Track improvement actions, benefits, and status updates, escalating overdue actions where required.
People & Communication
* Coordinate CI meetings, workshops, and reviews, including scheduling and minute-taking.
* Act as a point of contact for CI-related administration and documentation.
* Support engagement by helping capture improvement ideas and feedback from teams.
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in an administrative, technical support, or manufacturing environment is desirable.
* Interest in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement principles.
* Basic awareness of CI, Lean, or 6S concepts (training can be provided).
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with good attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent skills of office systems and data tracking tools (e.g., Microsoft office, spreadsheets, databases).
