Finance Administrator
* Hourly Rate: £14–£15 DOE
* Location: Carlisle area
* Contract: Temporary (approx. 3–6 months)
* Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a Finance Administrator to join a well-established organisation in the Carlisle area. This temporary role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with financial systems and data. The Finance Administrator will support our busy finance function, ensuring smooth financial operations across the business.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Raise sales ledger invoices and handle related queries.
* Manage incoming and outgoing post and respond to internal and external telephone calls.
* Maintain and monitor the shared finance mailbox.
* Process purchase invoices, including Web Expenses.
* Support credit control activities.
* Assist with sales invoicing and general finance administration.
* Produce analysis and reporting as required.
* Provide support and cover for finance colleagues.
* Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and finance regulations.
* Follow all Health & Safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong Excel knowledge.
* Experience using accounting software (Pegasus Opera desirable).
* Good proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of GDPR and data privacy standards.
* Strong attention to detail with an analytical, methodical approach.
* Confident problem-solver who can take tasks through to completion.
* Works accurately under tight deadlines.
* Comfortable working independently and within a team.
* Strong IT skills and confident using finance systems.
