What you'll be doing : Primarily working with the following technologies: SOAR, SIEM, XDR, NDR, ASM, TIP, to build, develop, maintain, automate, configure, test and improve product efficiencies in our remit to constantly improve our Cyber Security stance across the ABF estate. Enjoy being hands-on and comfortable within the Microsoft tech stack together with being able to guide and mentor others in the team. Perform investigation and escalation for complex security threats and be part of a second line on call 24/7 rota 1 week in 5. Play a role in continuous improvement by implementing optimised processes and management practices resulting in infrastructure, systems, and services, that are reliable, scalable, secure, efficient, well controlled and documented. Implementing software enhancements and suggest improvements to automate and optimise the security operations. Writing and maintaining IT documentation and following IT procedures as required. Provide support and expertise in the resolution of security incidents or customer questions where your expertise is sought. Provide a support function to the Cyber Defence team, addressing the root causes of cases and identifying case trends for investigation and resolution. What you'll bring : A solid foundation in computer science / computer engineering with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software designs. Experience of using Python frameworks and scripting to a skilled level. Demonstrable experience delivering automation initiatives. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions mindset. Independent thinking backed by sound discovery and research. Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, but also collaboratively across Cyber Security and ABF cross-functional teams. Understanding and experience of building and using API with Object Orientated programming experience. Some knowledge of DevSecOps tooling and principles e.g., Continuous Integration (CI) /Continuous Delivery (CD). You will need to be comfortable articulating complex technical issues clearly and leading engagements with other engineers and teams.
