Purpose of The Role
Join BBC Sport’s digital team to shape how millions of users experience sport online. As a Senior Editorial Manager, you’ll lead the delivery, curation, and optimisation of content across the BBC Sport website, app and iPlayer. You’ll play a key role in content discovery, team leadership and cross-platform collaboration, ensuring our digital services remain world class and audience focused.

Your Responsibilities And Impact
* Lead editorial best practices in content presentation, sub-editing, publishing, and imagery.
* Ensure all content meets BBC standards of accuracy, impartiality, and diversity.
* Collaborate with Product, UX, and Editorial teams to enhance content discovery and user experience.
* Manage live output and weekend curation, including iPlayer, Red Button, and YouTube.
* Use data and insights to inform editorial decisions and track performance against KPIs.
* Support cross-promotion campaigns and audience growth initiatives.
* Provide editorial input into product development and production tools.
* Lead change initiatives and support team development in line with BBC Sport’s digital strategy.
Your Skills And Experience
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience in digital sports content and audience engagement.
* Strong editorial judgement and creative thinking.
* Experience managing homepage or content curation in a sports environment.
* Excellent sports knowledge and awareness of UK regional audiences.
* Strong data literacy and ability to interpret performance metrics.
* Ability to lead during live events and out-of-hours editorial operations.
