Claims Executive
Location: Hitchin – Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will provide quality customer care, ensuring proactive handling of claims and related issues. Support management and colleagues to meet and exceed targets while adhering to FCA principles:

Principal Responsibilities:

Manage new instructions and work in progress according to service standards and company procedures.
*
Obtain sufficient information to establish policy liability and progress claims efficiently.
*
Register new claims accurately on company systems and update records during the claim process.
*
Maintain and provide clear, concise history of events and actions on delegated authority cases.
*
Obtain and submit completed Client documentation to Insurers or service providers promptly.
*
Handle telephone calls promptly and professionally.
*
Process incoming post within agreed service standards.
*
Respond to Client enquiries within designated time frames or as agreed.
*
Communicate effectively with Insurers, service providers, engineers, and Loss Adjusters via appropriate channels.
*
Provide advice to Clients to actively manage claims and reduce lapse time.
*
Dispatch claim settlement cheques promptly on receipt.
*
Maintain an up-to-date daily diary system to track and resolve outstanding issues.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
*
Knowledge of Acturis within a Windows Virtual Desktop application is advantageous.
*
Working towards CII qualifications is desirable.
*
Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Teams).
