Assistant Infrastructure Funding Officer
Type: Permanent, Part Time
Salary: £25,081 to £27,653 per annum (full-time equivalent). Pro rata salary for 21 hours/week: £14,235 to £15,694 per annum.

The Role
Essex Highways aims to modernise its services by leveraging technology and increasing customer engagement. The Assistant Infrastructure Funding Officer will collaborate with the Strategic Development team to support the delivery of highway advice services, monitor and report on projects, and facilitate highway and transportation projects funded through developer contributions, alongside the Infrastructure Funding Officer.
Qualifications & Skills
* Educated to National Qualifications Framework Level 3 or above (e.g., 'A' Level, Level 3 NVQ).
* Experience working in an office environment supporting planning, legal, or financial processes.
* Strong IT skills, research ability, and experience maintaining databases.
* Proven track record of delivering objectives.
Accountabilities
* Support pre-application highway advice services by issuing invoices and maintaining records.
* Assist in identifying funding allocations for projects.
* Liaise with Local Highways Panels and other teams to coordinate projects and ensure compliance.
* Maintain project data and generate reports for various stakeholders.
* Respond to FOI requests and other inquiries.
* Contribute to financial and project updates and manage funding agreements.
* Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for projects and developer contributions.
* Update the asset register with new infrastructure.
* Organize and record meetings for the Strategic Development team and review sessions.
