Overview
Role forms part of the wider Information Governance Teams. Provides senior strategic subject matter expertise to programmes and projects, deputises for the Head of Information Governance as required and delivers thought leadership on governance requirements within Integrated Care Systems, trust and national projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead the Corporate Information Governance team.
* Provide expert advice on all matters relating to Information Governance.
* Advise and lead complex Data Protection Impact Assessments.
* Budget and contract management.
* Support the trust’s wider Information Governance agenda.
* Actively manage risk and maintain an active risk register.
* Propose changes to own projects and services and contribute to policy and service development.
* Manage financial resources, ensure budgets break even and provide financial reports to Directors and Board.
* Lead and manage the Freedom of Information Service operational aspects.
* Deliver and lead transformational change, implementation of integrated innovative care models.
* Engage with national and regional bodies, forums and stakeholders.
* Develop and implement information systems for data collection, evaluation and interpretation.
* Plan, develop and evaluate methods for gathering, analysing, interpreting and presenting data.
* Deliver projects to comply with key performance indicators and coordinate R&D initiatives.
* Ensure the team operates within agreed budgets and lead audit and assurance products.
Qualifications
* Senior level experience in Information Governance and data protection.
* Strong analytical, strategic and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of Integrated Care Systems, interoperability, analytics and public facing digital solutions.
* Experience managing budgets, contracts and delivering complex multi‑organisation projects.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management across all levels.
