Position OverviewThe Pest Control Technician is responsible for identifying, treating, and preventing pest-related issues for clients. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate is certified, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering reliable and professional service.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct inspections to identify pest infestations and determine appropriate treatment plans.
* Apply pesticides and other treatments safely and in accordance with industry regulations and company standards.
* Install pest control equipment such as traps, bait stations, and exclusion materials.
* Communicate findings, treatment options, and preventive measures to customers clearly and professionally.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and follow-up requirements.
* Ensure all equipment and company vehicles are kept clean, organised, and in proper working order.
* Manage your own diary.
* Stay up-to-date on pest control techniques, regulations, and best practices.
* Provide exceptional customer service to maintain Full Guards reputation for quality and reliability.
Qualifications
* Valid pest control technician certification.
* Previous experience in pest management preferred.
* Strong knowledge of common pests, treatment methods, and regulatory requirements.
* Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
* Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and solve problems effectively.
* Good communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to lift moderate weights, work outdoors, and handle physical aspects of the job.
