Practice Senior Manager

Cooper Lomaz is working with a growing Practice that has experienced excellent growth over the last 12 months. Due to expansion in the General Practice Department, they are seeking to recruit a full/part time Senior Manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who is ACA/ACCA or QBE qualified, responsible for managing a portfolio of clients providing high-quality compliance services for a range of corporate and specialist clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing general practice services including corporate and special projects for a portfolio of clients with annual fees of £240k. Your responsibilities will include:
* Corporate taxation and finance
* Company Secretarial duties
* Providing projections and forecasting information
* Managing budgets and compliance processes
* Utilising a variety of paperless software applications
* Preparing budgets for accounts work
* Liaising with clients for debt recovery as required
* Handling consolidations
Client Management
* Managing a portfolio of clients
* Managing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
* Introducing new clients to the practice
* Playing an active role in raising the business profile
* Demonstrating confident, accurate, and reliable accounting knowledge when interacting with clients, presenting ideas, and implementing strategies
* Engaging with senior staff/partners to understand the business
* Supporting marketing activities and attending local networking events
Tax Compliance / VAT
* Reviewing VAT return forms
* Communicating with clients when VAT returns are complete and submitting to HMRC
* Providing in-depth advice on VAT returns and related services
* Reviewing self-assessment, business, and partnership tax returns, including capital gains computations
* Using computerised tax software for calculations and returns
Payroll
* Reviewing P11D and other payroll advice
* Overseeing payroll processing to deadlines
* Reviewing FPS and EPS submissions
* Liaising with clients as needed
* Reviewing staff work before partner sign-off to ensure quality
* Delegating tasks effectively
* Recruiting, training, and developing staff
* Managing workflow controls and staff motivation
* Conducting appraisals and reviews
* Managing staff holiday, sickness, and day-to-day issues
