Join to apply for the Outpatients Registered Nurse role at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the small patient-focused team at the Outpatients Department, Snowdrop Breast Unit, with the requirement to work in Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Dewi Sant Hospital if required.
The successful candidate will be flexible to work across the 5-day week to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
* Provide outpatient nursing care with an interest in Outpatient Nursing; work well independently and as part of a team.
* Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, ECG recording, wound care, and Doppler as required.
* Facilitate clinics independently and supervise junior staff; support student nurses on placement.
* Manage the Outpatient area in the absence of the Department Manager.
* Undertake mandatory training and e-learning; actively participate in PADR and development of revalidation.
* Encourage departmental learning and development.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Interest in Outpatient Nursing with ability to work independently and within a team.
* Skills in phlebotomy, ECG recording, and wound care is important and required.
* Willingness to participate in mandatory training, e-learning, PADR, and revalidation processes.
* Welsh Skills Desirable: Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above; basic conversations with patients about everyday health.
Location and Schedule
Outpatients operates Monday to Friday. Flexibility across a 5-day period is important to meet service needs. Role may require work at Royal Glamorgan Hospital and Dewi Sant Hospital.
