Role description: We are recruiting for an Associate Technical Director to join our Geo-Environmental team. This role will be supporting the National Heads of Discipline to undertake key leadership activities including: Be an in region senior point of contact for SER team members. To direct and deliver (at a Project Director level) a range of SER projects, across our geoenvironmental and Contract SI projects. Support in the development and implementation of team structure & growth plan, including workforce planning ((training, development, recruitment & retention (succession)) Improved approach and co-ordination of resourcing for GA team Role accountabilities: Leadership This specific role has the following key requirements, directly in support of the Heads of Discipline. Be a role model for the Arcadis Values & Behaviours. With the HoD develop recruitment plan to support growth requirements. With the HoD, succession planning of key roles, in order to build a resilient team. Support of GEC integration – and developing consistency of service irrrespective of location. Assessment of capability to support growth and any upskilling or training requirements. Promote the Competency matrix and ensure it is relevant and includes all skills required. Proactively work with and support SER Leads/ Ambassadors to create a positive and vibrant SER Community. Work with the HoD to develop a high performing Geoenv team/ Contract SI team, where people understand their impact and contribution to the SER Business Plan and have the skills and capability to deliver. Growth Proactively support SER growth within Scotland, working with the Growth Lead Act as regional focal point for client interaction, supporting client account leads/key part of account teams / Foster strong relationships with regional clients Technical support/assurance for bids Work closely with wider Arcadis GBAs / City Execs to identify Growth opportunities Manage and develop our valued supply chain Workload Demands & Resourcing Work with the SER Resource Planners to ensure the Resource Planners obtain the information required to maintain an overview of workload demands and associated resource requirements for Discipline. Work with Resource Planning Team to implement systems to support accurate forecasting of resource demands for discipline and enable effective resourcing of team members aligned to competency and skills onto projects. Recruitment Work with HoD to develop recruitment plan aligned to current and future market need to support growth of discipline aligned to capability and capacity requirements. Technical Broad experience, confidence and expertise in all matters of Geo-environmental Engineering Contract co-ordination and management of large scale projects Sound commercial acumen A champion of health, safety and environmental management Qualifications & Experience: 15 years of experience. Chartered or equivalent. Strong communication & organisational skills. Proven Technical Skills and Experience aligned to discipline Why Arcadis?
