About the Role
Based at the Civic Centre in Keynsham with some work at other Council locations and flexible home working by agreement, you will lead and develop the Council’s tenancy relations function under the Renters Rights Act 2025. This is a new service and staffing will be reviewed to inform future provision for 2027/28. We aim for high standards of customer service and are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tenancy Relations Officer reporting to the Housing Standards and Enforcement Manager.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead on all tenancy relations casework and enforcement including harassment, illegal eviction and the provisions of the Renters Rights Act 2025.
* Accept referrals for tenancy relations advice and possible enforcement action.
* Work with relevant internal and external partners and agencies as required to co‑ordinate the delivery of the Service.
Required Criteria
* A relevant qualification and/or suitable experience of tenancy relations work.
* Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation such as residential landlord and tenant legislation.
* Ability to conduct regulatory or criminal investigations and present cases for enforcement action.
