We are recruiting for experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Kirklees.
This is an excellent opportunity for confident and motivated individuals who can take a leading role in the classroom, support teaching and learning across different year groups, and make a positive impact on pupils' educational development.
Key Responsibilities
Lead whole-class learning in the absence of the class teacherDeliver targeted intervention programmes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2Support teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and assessment activitiesProvide guidance and support to Teaching Assistants and other support staffAssist in creating an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environmentSupport pupils with varying learning needs to achieve their full potentialRequirements
HLTA qualification or equivalent experienceLevel 6 qualification or relevant degree in Childhood Studies, Education, or a related fieldStrong classroom management and leadership skillsExperience working across primary key stagesExcellent communication and organisational abilitiesThe Ideal Candidate Will
Have experience working with primary-aged childrenBe patient, caring, and committed to supporting pupil progress and wellbeingDemonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skillsBe adaptable, proactive, and able to use their initiativeBe confident supporting both individual learners and whole-class activitiesHave a positive and enthusiastic approach to educationWhat We Offer
