Retail Assistant Manager
£25,209- £29,432 plus benefits

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week
Location: Holyhead Superstore

At Cancer Research UK, we exist to beat cancer. We are looking for someone talented who shares our vision to join our trading team as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, supporting the shop manager and your team to maximise income through people, resources and stock.
There will be varied manual handling and physical activity required in the role.
There is an emphasis on working with the community and Cancer Research UK colleagues, supporting fundraising events and maintaining store standards.
Responsibilities
* Support the shop manager to guide, inspire and engage a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers.
* Support the commercial running of the store including display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards, store layout, sales and income.
* Lead by example and provide excellent customer and supporter service.
* Work with the shop manager to achieve targets for donated stock, cash, gift aid, average selling price, sell through and stock processing.
* Create relationships with the local community and CRUK colleagues.
* Support the shop manager in the organisation and delivery of creative fundraising events to achieve fundraising targets.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
* Depose for the shop manager in their absence.
* Perform a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity as part of day-to-day duties.
Qualifications and attributes
* Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.
* Experience of working in a lively and vibrant environment.
* Adaptability in changing situations, including the ability to work effectively independently.
* Commercial awareness.
* Ability to create relationships and communicate well.
* Flexible with rota-based working; understands work-life balance needs.
