Academy Coach & Performance Analyst (U18 / U19 & B Team)
Location: Stanley Park Sports Ground / Matchday venues (away travel may be required)
Hours: Part-Time | January – May – 20 hours per week. Availability required across coaching delivery, matchday duties, performance analysis, planning, and meetings in line with the Academy programme.
Salary: Reflects a part-time appointment of 20 hours per week and will be paid on a pro‑rata basis for the duration of the fixed‑term contract.
Contract type: Fixed‑term | Part‑Time (Pro‑Rata) January – May, with the potential to lead to further opportunities within the Academy structure.

Key Responsibilities
Coaching Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and delivery of U18 / U19 and B Team training sessions in line with the Academy’s playing philosophy
* Deliver coaching practices during designated sessions under the direction of the Academy Manager or Lead Coach
* Support individual player development through technical, tactical, and positional coaching
* Assist with warm‑ups, unit work, and position‑specific practices
* Support matchday preparation, delivery, and review for U18 / U19 and B Team fixtures
Performance Analysis Responsibilities
* Film, code, and analyse U18 / U19 and B Team matches and selected training sessions
* Produce opposition analysis to support tactical preparation and match planning
* Compile post‑match and individual performance reviews using video and statistical data
* Present analysis feedback to players and staff in a clear, age‑appropriate and development‑focused manner
* Maintain and develop Academy analysis systems, databases, and video libraries
* Work collaboratively with coaching staff to ensure analysis insights inform weekly training plans and individual development objectives
General Responsibilities
* Comply with all Club policies and procedures, including health and safety, safeguarding, and equality policies
* Promote and uphold the Club’s values, behaviours, and professional standards at all times
* Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with players and staff
* Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required within the scope of the role
* Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times
Safeguarding & Welfare
* This role carries a specific safeguarding responsibility
* The post-holder must comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures
* The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
* Any safeguarding concerns must be reported in line with Club policy

Scope of Job

Person Specification
* Experience coaching within an academy or youth development environment
* Practical experience of football performance analysis
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* UEFA coaching qualification (B/A or working towards)
* Experience working with YDP or PDP programmes
* Experience producing opposition and individual analysis
* Understanding of weekly training structures within an academy environment
