HGV Class 2 Driver
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked in a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
* Working any 5 nights out of 7
* Start times between 01:00 and 03:00
Rates of Pay:
* £15.87 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
* Conducting supermarket deliveries (handball required – modern cages with wheels)
* Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
* Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
* Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required
Essential Skills:
As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:
* A valid UK Category C licence
* A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes
* A valid UK CPC card and Digi card
* Good spoken and written English
* Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills
* A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver
* Previous multi-drop delivery experience
Training:
* Driver's assessment must be completed before starting
* A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment
