Role overview:
This role requires a team player with flair and commercial ability, and the skill, energy, and determination to help drive and develop the business alongside the General Manager.
We are looking for a manager with experience in maintaining and developing standards and reputation, whilst nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the operational running of the gym at all times. Opening and closing the site when required due to operational hours of the business.
* Expectation to work early mornings, late weekdays, and weekends.
* Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
* Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
* Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and its equipment are safe to use.
* Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets that are set.
* Drive and maximise secondary spend revenue.
* Ensure the entire gym facility is of the highest standard of cleanliness. Maintain standards outside of contracted cleaning hours.
* Ensure in-house cleaners (General Assistant) are cleaning to the highest standards.
* Ensure uniform standards are being adhered to by all team members and yourself.
* Deliver outstanding member service at all times.
* Create an environment where the team and contracted personnel enjoy their work.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties/projects/meetings as required.
* Always act as an ambassador of JD Gyms.
Skills and Experience:
* Must have experience, ideally in a management position within a leisure-related industry.
* Must be passionate about customer service and an inspirational leader in management.
* Must be qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
* Must have experience in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activities, as well as managing a successful team.
* Ideally, will have experience as an Assistant Manager overseeing all business areas within a leisure facility, or substantial experience as a Fitness Manager or similar operational role.
