We are a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Newham seeking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work closely with students in our Inclusion Unit. This is a vital role in helping to create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where every student can thrive.
The Role:
Supervise and support students within the Inclusion Unit who require time away from mainstream classes
Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help manage and improve their behaviour
Work alongside pastoral staff, SEN teams, and teaching staff to implement tailored strategies and behaviour plans
Monitor student progress and contribute to reintegration plans back into the classroom
Promote a calm, consistent and respectful atmosphere within the unit
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with young people with social, emotional or behavioural needs (in school or youth work settings)
Strong behaviour management and communication skills
A calm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
A team player who is committed to the values of inclusion and equality
