About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like them. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you’re boosting Residents’ confidence to socialise, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you will do so with kindness at the forefront.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are crucial. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately, including escalation if necessary.
We provide full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being. As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will enjoy:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG check
* Free uniform
* Nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more
