The role
Are you a creative copywriter with a passion for storytelling and a solid understanding of customer-focused writing? If you're looking to make an impact in one of the UK’s most recognisable brands, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a midweight copywriter to join our in-house agency, Tesco Creative Studio.
We’re looking for someone with a couple years of experience under their belt and a keen interest in food, fashion and lifestyle. From Finest campaigns to Clubcard promotions, seasonal events to sustainability messaging – this role is varied, fast-paced and full of creative opportunities.
Collaborative and idea-led
You’ll work across multiple customer-facing platforms – from emails and social to web, DM and online. One day you could be writing punchy headlines for a loyalty push, the next helping shape a personalised campaign for the Tesco app.
Working closely with our ops, design, and publishing teams, you’ll help bring the Tesco brand to life with clarity, warmth and originality – making sure our tone of voice is consistent, distinctive and, most importantly, connects with customers.
Part of a close-knit team
You’ll sit within our growing copy team and be collaborating with other members of the Online, Brand and Customer teams every day. We’re a supportive bunch and believe good ideas can come from anywhere – so you’ll be encouraged to share, shape and grow your creative thinking with the team.

We work a hybrid model, with at least three days a week at our Welwyn Garden City campus (just 29 minutes direct into London Kings Cross). Responsibilities
* Writing and editing clear, engaging copy across key customer channels – including email, web, social, print and online.
* Developing conceptual ideas for campaigns that align with brand and business goals.
* Implementing the Tesco tone of voice across a range of communications.
* Working with the creative and marketing teams to deliver and present effective, high-impact work.
* Responding to briefs with creativity, insight and attention to detail.
Skills and Experience required
* 3+ years of experience writing for consumer-facing brands – food, FMCG, or retail a bonus.
* A body of work that shows conceptual thinking, creativity, and strong tone of voice skills.
* The ability to write clearly, concisely, and in line with brand guidelines.
* A proactive attitude with the ability to organise your work around multiple deadlines, in a fast-moving environment.
