HR Business Partner / HR Advisor
Location: Prescot | Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 | Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a confident and resilient HR Business Partner / HR Advisor to join an established HR function supporting an environmentally focused, values‑led organisation.
This is a stand‑alone HR role working across different site, working closely with a wider HR team based elsewhere. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide day‑to‑day HR support across a fast‑paced business of circa 600 employees, acting as a trusted adviser to managers and employees to approx 300 employees across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Act as the site‑based HR lead, working confidently and independently
2. Provide practical, legally compliant HR advice to managers and employees
3. Supporting the sites to manage employee relations matters including absence, disciplinaries and grievances
4. Support recruitment activity across the business, including shortlisting and interviews
About You:
5. Proven experience in an HR Advisor / HR Officer / HR Business Partner role
6. Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation
7. Confident, resilient and comfortable working autonomously
8. Experienced in advising managers at all levels
9. Organised, professional and solutions‑focused
10. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
11. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel and stay overnight when required
