The company is conveniently located in Peterborough, where the Electrical Design Engineers role will be based.

RESPONSIBILITIESThe Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for;
* Design of MCC Panels (motor circuits, safety circuits, PLC equipment, layouts).
* Produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of material.
* Produce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagrams.
* Design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings.
* Writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulations.
* Modifications to hardware and panels on site (24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC).
* Electrical testing / fault finding on site.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or C&G Level 3, NVQ 3 & requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) or equivalent.
* Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel and EPLAN, or other drawing package.
* Knowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirements.
* Knowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens).
* Flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a team.
* Valid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwide. xsngvjr
* Demonstrable experience of electrical design engineering.
