We are currently hiring an experienced Housing support officer Deliver a responsive and customer focused temporary accommodation (TA) tenancy support service that enables customers to sustain their TA tenancy and successfully move on into suitable secured accommodation. Efficiently deliver back office support and respond to customer telephone and email enquiries in a courteous and professional manner. Support with the monitoring and recording of TA property inspections, TA Move On activity, floating support visits and occupancy check outcomes. Support the service to compile TA suitability review paperwork and case bundles for court proceedings. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities may include any of those detailed below and may be varied according to the needs of the designated service area(s). They may also include any other duties that are commensurate with the grade and nature of the post. There is an expectation that the post holder will develop the key competencies to ensure flexible and integrated working across the Directorate. Support the service to ensure all areas of managing a TA service is operating as efficiently as possible. update and maintain customer records on the relevant databases and monitoring spreadsheets. Set-up tenancy agreements, quality check licence agreements and TA admission forms. Help the service to monitor homeless household's attendance in TA. Support with the monitoring and recording of service information. Collect, record and share customer and service performance information. Help the service to manage static arrear accounts and check invoices. Be aware of the risk of fraud, error, child and adult protection issues and raise any concerns to your line manager. Maintain knowledge of Homelessness and relevant housing legislation. Carry out the duties of the post in accordance with the Data Protection Act, the Health & Safety at Work Act and other relevant legislation, as well as Council policies, procedures, Standing Orders and Financial Regulations. Take responsibility, appropriate to the post, for ensuring compliance with council policies and procedures aimed at promoting and safeguarding the welfare of vulnerable children and adults. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade that may be required.
