Job Description
A leading Engineering & Manufacturing company in Bristol is seeking an experienced Production Planner on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
Work Order & Build Management
* Raise work orders to support the production schedule.
* Create build files and associated documentation.
* Arrange kitting and ensure all materials required for build are available.
* Manage and update work order part lists throughout build and test.
* Close work orders to inventory and pass to the next stage.
* Monitor, identify and manage build shortages.
Build / Test Support
* Monitor and action deviation permits.
* Work with Build Team Leaders and Lead Technicians to resolve material supply issues.
* Add additional material requirements to work orders only when justified.
* Attend pre-shipment meetings when required.
* Ensure shortages are identified and resolved before moving product to Finished Goods.
* Maintain accurate updates within the company business system (SID).
* Process electronic stores requisitions.
ECO / Change Management
1. Implement design or specification changes to work orders post-kitting.
2. Action BOM updates through the ECO process.
