Business Oversight Compliance is a vital part of the 2nd Line of Defence within Barclays, responsible for oversight of businesses at Barclays Bank UK (BUK) and Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC), including dedicated Financial Crime teams.
The Financial Crime function supports effective risk management by providing expert oversight to the business and legal entities.
Key Requirements for the role:
* Experience in the Financial Services Industry, particularly in AML Transformation projects.
* Experience conducting Business Analysis and Business Change, including stakeholder engagement, drafting, and presenting design papers.
* Understanding of 1st and 2nd line of defence financial crime capabilities and their interaction.
* Experience designing and implementing risk management operating models and embedding responsibilities across processes, systems, and controls.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
* Knowledge across different banking sectors such as Retail, Private Banking, Wealth Management, and Investment Banking.
Role Purpose:
Provide data-driven oversight and challenge on business and compliance matters to ensure adherence to Barclays' legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess compliance risks through reviews of activities, processes, and systems.
* Investigate potential market abuse and financial crimes like money laundering and terrorist financing.
* Oversee investigations and ensure corrective actions are effective.
* Implement and align compliance policies with regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with various teams to manage compliance and risk.
