Teacher – Small Group
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to deliver the KS1 curriculum to small groups of primary-aged children with Autism (ASC). This is a rewarding role for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference to children’s learning and development.
The Role
* Teach small groups of children working within the KS1 curriculum
* Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Autism
* Deliver high-quality phonics teaching using structured and evidence-based approaches
* Create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment
* Use a range of strategies to support communication, engagement, and emotional regulation
* Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN professionals, and parents/carers
* Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP targets and assessments
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Strong experience teaching phonics, ideally within KS1
* Experience teaching primary-aged children with Autism or other SEND
* A flexible, patient, and child-centred approach
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A commitment to inclusive and trauma-informed practice
