2nd Line IT Network Support Engineer
We are working with a customer based in Bromley, Kent who are looking to expand their IT Network Support team with the addition of a 2nd Line Network Support Engineer. We want a customer service focussed individual who is able to provide second to none support.
Candidates wishing to apply should ideally have around 2 years’ experience in the IT Network support space where you have been responsible for working in a service desk style setup supporting all tickets relating to IT Networking, Firewalls, Switches etc. You will be required to log tickets and manage these to ensure that they are handled in line with SLAs whether via portal, Teams, email, or phone. You should have the experienced behind you to know when to escalate and issue and to who.
As well as handling the troubleshooting of tickets you will be required to get involved with the testing, config and implementation of network devices, manage and maintain Firmware Upgrades and Server OS Patches, get involved in project work where required, and create, maintain, and update documentation to ensure accuracy.
Candidates applying should have a good working knowledge from a troubleshooting aspect of the following technologies and platforms; Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper, STP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Azure, Hypervisor deployments (VMWare / Hyper V), Windows Server, AWS and DHCP Snooping, DAI.
You should be a confident communicator, written and spoken and someone who is able to be the face of IT.
Salary: C£35,000-38,000 DOE
