About the Role:
The Everest Ceded Reinsurance Team are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Reinsurance Technician to join the Global Operations Team. You will be working closely with our internal stakeholders, including the Ceded Re Placing Team, Ceded Re Accounting, Underwriters, Claims and Actuaries to ensure our reinsurance contracts are accurately recorded, billed efficiently and internal reporting and governance requirements are adhered to. You will also build and maintain strong communication channels and relationships with Brokers and Reinsurers, supporting Everest’s position as a leading global insurance and reinsurance provider.
This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.
Role & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
* Recording reinsurance contracts in the Ceded Reinsurance Accounting System (XL Pro). To include both treaty and facultative placements, on a proportional and non-proportional basis.
* Timely and accurate preparation and delivery of ceded accounts with appropriate supporting documentation, including:
* Co-ordinating the settlement of Deposit Premiums across multi-entity ceding treaties.
* Calculation and administration of Adjustment Premiums and Profit Commissions.
* With support from our Global Ceded Claims Specialist, issuing Cash Calls, billing XOL claim recoveries and calculating Reinstatement Premiums.
* Addressing Broker and Reinsurer queries on ceded accounts as they arise.
* Providing assistance to internal stakeholders to address any coverage queries.
* Assisting in the resolution of overdue balances.
* LORS activities on behalf of the Syndicate.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a Ceded Reinsurance Technician or Reinsurance Broker Technician role.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
* Lloyds and London Market experience essential.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* XL Pro experience highly desirable.
* LORS experience desirable.
