We have the opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (Trainee PWP) to join our expanding Talking Therapies service operating across Newcastle.

Hello! We are Vita Health Group – we are the lead provider of NHS Talking Therapies services across Newcastle, providing vital mental health support to clients aged 16+ within the practice area. The Role
In this role, you will provide Low Intensity CBT-based interventions whilst undertaking the Low Intensity Psychological Therapy PGCert delivered by Newcastle University commencing in October 2025. This training post will equip you with the skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based treatment to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
You will be joining a motivated team of mental health professionals and experienced supervisors, who will support you to complete both your academic study and your clinical delivery.
This is a 1-year fixed term position with a provisional start date of 6th October 2025. Upon successful completion of the course and receipt of qualification, a full-time permanent role as qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner will be granted.
A typical working week includes 3 days of clinical practice with the service and 2 days attending university. University days will be face-to-face teaching in Newcastle University.
Whilst your clinical practice is likely to include some remote working, you will be required to attend one of the Newcastle offices for part of the week.
