Procurement Manager - Complex Programmes
Salary: c. £65,000 – £75,000 + Bonus/Package
Location: Surrey (Hybrid working)
A major organisation operating in a complex and technical environment are looking for a Procurement Manager to support sourcing, supplier management and contract delivery across a varied programme portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong procurement or supply chain experience who enjoys stakeholder engagement, supplier negotiation, risk management and delivering value in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Partner with internal stakeholders early to understand requirements, influence sourcing decisions and align procurement activity with business priorities.
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies using market insight, supplier intelligence and data to challenge assumptions and drive value.
* Lead competitive tenders and supplier negotiations, securing strong commercial terms while managing risk and contractual obligations.
* Manage supplier and contract performance, including KPIs, governance, issue resolution and support for wider supplier relationship management.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including resilience, financial, geopolitical, sustainability and supplier performance considerations.
Key skills and experience:
* A depth of experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally gained in a complex, regulated or project-led environment.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships and influence decision-making.
* Experience negotiating contracts and running sourcing activity, ideally across mid to high-value requirements.
* Good commercial and risk awareness, with the ability to balance cost, quality, resilience, delivery and compliance.
* Practical understanding of procurement systems, with MCIPS qualification or progress towards CIPS preferred.
