Information Support Assistant – University of Salford (The)
Part-time, permanent position within the Library Services Team at The Library, University of Salford.
Responsibilities
* Respond to enquiries including making space bookings, access to print and electronic resources, and the loan and return of library laptops, including signposting users to services and resources provided by teams around the University.
* Promote library services and programmes to service users and assist with outreach and engagement activities.
You Will Be Expected To
* Support students on their learning journey and help improve their experience at the University of Salford.
* Build relationships with students, anticipate and meet their needs even where they cannot clearly articulate them.
* Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour including inappropriate language and non-compliance with library policies and procedures.
* Contribute to creating innovative and inclusive learning spaces that support evolving learning and teaching methods, and participate in collaborative projects as required.
* Champion equality and diversity by fostering an inclusive environment for students and staff in line with University policy.

Flexibility and openness to different working patterns are encouraged to support team coverage and service needs.
About the Library Services Team
The Library Services team provides high-quality learning spaces and frontline support to students, delivering services including access management, lending and returning of books and laptops, enquiry services, and management and development of libraries and learning spaces across the campus. The team aims to create a sense of belonging and a positive, vibrant, and engaging experience for all users.
