Overview
Reporting directly to the Director of Academic Studies, you will provide comprehensive support to staff across the department. Duties include monitoring budget expenditure and allocations, processing orders, invoices and payments, processing student application forms, supporting course advice events, data handling, checking exam entries, and acting as the main contact point for enquiries. You will liaise with students, parents, staff and employers.
Responsibilities
* With the support of the wider Academic Studies administration team, act as the initial point of contact for all enquiries from students, parents and teachers.
* Handle cash where appropriate in compliance with the College's Financial Regulations.
* Support the Director of Academic Studies with the planning and coordination of A Level exams, assessments and mock exams.
* Assist the Director of Academic Studies and Group Heads of Curriculum with the planning of student timetables and tracking of enrolments.
* Work with the Director of Academic Studies to check data from Information Services regarding student numbers, retention and achievement on courses.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Relevant business admin qualification and proven experience in a varied and busy administrative and/or secretarial role.
* Confident communication at all levels with excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Access).
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
* Good standard of education to level 3 or equivalent; willingness to undertake relevant professional development.
* Experience in handling enquiries, budgeting support, and general administrative tasks.
* Availability to work standard office hours, with occasional attendance at open evenings and parents’ evenings.
