Job Overview
Due to two of our long-standing specialist team members leaving us to return back home, Bristol Vet Specialists has the opportunity for new team members to join our medicine department. We have two full-time (4 days a week) positions available. The ideal candidates will be ECVIM boarded diplomats, ACVIM diplomats or ECVIM/ACVIM board eligible candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates should have experience in running a busy hospital case load and in training medicine residents/interns. As part of the role, you will take part in an on-call rota supporting our residents.
Team Composition
The successful candidates will join a team that consists of three boarded specialists (2 ECVIM and 1 ACVIM), two medicine residents, one medicine intern, four discipline-specific medicine nurses and one medicine-specific patient care assistant. We also run a successful rotating internship program and often have a rotating intern on our service.
Facilities and Research
Our department has all the usual fun tools a medicine specialist could need. Our team is actively engaged in research (seniors and residents) and research funding availabilities are available from CVS.
Location
BVS is a large specialist-led, referral-only hospital located in Bristol.
