Essential Responsibilities:

1. Conduct internal audit activities across assigned areas.
2. Draft audit issues and reports for management review
3. Track and validate closure of audit issues
4. Communicate audit findings clearly to stakeholders
5. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, business units, and support teams
6. Complete assigned work, including ad hoc projects, within deadlines
7. Document audit work concisely and in accordance with quality standards
8. Stay updated on industry changes and their impact on risk assessments
9. Support the implementation of internal audit strategies and methodologies

Expected Qualifications:

10. 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

Your Day-to-Day

11. ·Support Managers/ Senior Managers in the execution of audit assignments in line with PayPal’s Internal Audit Methodology, internal policies and standards, and regulatory requirements.

12. Execute with a high level of autonomy audit tests and clearly document test results to support audit conclusions.

13. Assist Managers/ Senior Managers in the documentation and evaluation of audit observations/ findings and socialisation with the respective auditees.

14. Lead walkthrough meetings with auditees to assess, evaluate, and document relevant processes, risks and controls and document the outcome in process narratives.

15. Assist Managers/ Senior Managers in setting up and managing client status meetings, audit requests, internal decks and reports and other administrative tasks.

16. Validate the completion of remediation action plans by management to address audit findings and regulatory issues.

17. Utilize AI tools to increase effectiveness and efficiency of audit operations.

18. Develop a strong understanding of PayPal’s business model, products, services, and organisational structure.

What you need to succeed

19. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience

20. A Bachelor's degree or relevant professional certifications.

What you need to exceed

21. A key understanding of the IIA standards and professional practices.

22. Experience in conducting end-to-end audits in a fast-paced international environment.

23. A good understanding of the UK regulatory framework applicable to financial services/ payments firms.

24. Excellent time and project management skills, including project scoping, planning, structured thinking, risk identification, and resolution.

25. Strong ability to coordinate action and collaborate across a globally dispersed team.

26. Excellent client relationship and communication skills to build internal networks within the IA global team, IA leadership and wider firm.

27. Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

28. Demonstrated ability to see the big picture, analyze risks, and make recommendations for improvements to mitigate those risks.

29. A passion for understanding the unique PayPal community, along with a passion for understanding the online payments business.

30. Highly organized with experience in communicating strategic and tactical requirements necessary to drive and implement change.

31. An insatiable curiosity to take Internal Audit to the next level of its evolution and to help build a best-in-class audit department.
